Cross-country skiing in the Val Pusteria Valley
The 10 km cross-country track lies just 300 m from the Hotel Post Tolderhof. Ranging from an easy to medium difficulty level, the track is very popular with guests interested in cross-country skiing. Valdaora and the whole Plan de Corones have been consolidated and now form part of the brand-new "Dolomiti NordicSki" Association. There are a total of about 1,000 km of ski tracks, including 180 km of slopes in the Plan de Corones alone, on what is now the longest cross-country ski circuit in Europe!
In Plan de Corones, there are special areas and facilities set aside for numerous other activities such as snowboarding, sledding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ski mountaineering.
Sledding
Feel like more than just skiing and snowboarding? Sledding might just be the answer ... and not just for the kids! The 7 km sled run from the Brunstalm hut to Valdaora di Sopra/Oberolang, will cater to your needs and there are also other sled runs as well in the vicinity of Plan de Corones. These range from single runs in nature to busy sports circuits with plenty of bends. You can rent out all types of sleds from Rent & go! Our suggestion: sledding in the moonlight!
Ski touring
For those keen on ski touring, getting up early is the name of the game, donning skis and moving. Even at night you can reach Plan de Corones using a headlamp. Embark on a moonlight ski touring trip under the stars: an unforgettable experience not to be missed!
The Plan de Corones Snowpark
Snowboarding in Plan de Corones: the biggest snow park in the region! Located at 2,000 m, the snow park faces south and has 4 sun-kissed lines that also challenge habitual snowboarders and expert freestylers
