Outdoor Summer Holidays in the Dolomites
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009, the world-famous Dolomites have much to offer outdoor holidaymakers.
For the convenience of guests, their hiking excursions start right in front of the Hotel Post Tolderhof. Climbers reaching the upper reaches of the Dolomites will be able to marvel at the most stunning views of these magnificent mountains.
A backpack for hiking, hiking sticks and maps can be borrowed from the hotel at no charge.
The hotel staff is actively involved in the outdoor activity programme. Luis, our expert guide, leads a varied 3-day per week outdoor program, accompanying guests on the most beautiful hikes around the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park and on excursions around the southern Alps.
Twice a week, our "Rent & Go" sporting partners organise mountain biking trips from ‘easy’ to an ‘average difficulty’ level. Hotel guests receive a 10% discount on bike rentals and Bike Shuttle excursions and also have free use of the Valdaora outdoor swimming pool. The hundred meters long children's playground along the Valdaora Mondo Bimbi (Children’s World) is a must for families. The Children’s World includes a playground in the forest, with numerous climbing and aquatic exercises.
The Val Pusteria/Pustertal Valley also has excursions and challenges of interest to extreme sportspersons, such as climbers and paragliders. Thanks to its spectacular setting at the junction between the main Alpine mountain chain and the Dolomites, the Val Pusteria makes recreational sports and leisure activities (such as golf and horse riding), seem even more captivating.
